Simon Beck Creates Snow Murals With Snowshoes

Simon Beck has an incredible passion and talent for creating elaborate snow murals by taking one step at a time. What started out as just a fun way to exercise, later became a unique art. His beautiful work starts out as a drawing on a piece of paper, but he always figures out a way of creating that same image out in the snow. He puts on his snowshoes, and heads out in the mountains to begin. He takes 5,000 steps per hour, and nothing can stop him.
As each snow mural takes an entire eight-hour work day, he demonstrates his incredible dedication to making the great outdoors an eye-catching artwork. In his humility, he calls it "drawing in the snow," yet when the view pans out, it looks like something so much greater.
Each snow mural is carefully thought through. He measures and counts the steps along the way because once he's begun, there's no turning back to start over. He can only view it once it is already finished. Each of the larger murals takes roughly 40,000 steps - now that's a workout! Getting outside and discovering his talents has greatly influenced a whole new realm of art.
