As Brandon was contemplating where to pull over and wait for his dad, he spotted a blue four-door SUV pulled off alongside the road. Upon closer look, Brandon instantly became furious when he saw the vehicle’s driver, a larger six-foot-tall man, punching something inside the vehicle. Brandon was anticipating a fist fight, then saw a little white dog thrown up in the air. He was shocked at seeing a harmless little dog struggling to survive the blows and turned his motorcycle around to check on the dog.
A tough tattooed biker who also is proud to swoon heartfelt country music on stage for his fans, Brandon cautiously approached the little dog, who at that point was shaking out of fear with labored breathing. He protectively folded his arms around him, risking being bit, to save the little guy from darting out into oncoming traffic. The sweet dog leaned into Brandon. Now named Mr. Davidson, as Brandon’s other dog is named Harley, the dog was gently placed on his bike, tucked safely in his leather biker jacket for the ride home.
The father-son bikers headed home regularly checking on Mr. Davidson to make sure he’s okay. The dog rode the bike like a champ, more than 45 miles home, even shifting to catch the breeze. Once home, Mr. Davidson quickly settled into his new home.
Brandon was inspired by the experience to write a song for Mr. Davidson and other motorcycle mutts.

Mr. Davidson became quite the star that fateful day as oncoming traffic loved the sight of the crew heading home. Mr. Davidson has readily accepted his biker hero and howls when Brandon heads off to work every day, missing the man who gave him a second chance on life.
