Cat Saves Chihuahua Puppies

Debra Cantwell, an adoption coordinator for the SPCA, says that they had a little chihuahua that was very pregnant. She had her babies prematurely, and while two of them didn't make it, the other two puppies were rejected by their mother. Although their mother had shunned them, the SPCA felt there was still hope for these Chihuahua-mix babies.
They had a nursing cat upstairs, and decided to put the puppies on her to see if she might accept them. The Siamese cat loved them, nursing and raising them as her own. She can be see attentively watching as Debra picks up the puppies to show the camera. What a sweet little family of kittens and puppies this mama cat has. Her maternal instinct must be strong, and while these puppies are smaller than her own kittens now, they will likely get bigger than their cat mom by the time they are done growing. Still, it seems sure that that she will love them no matter what happens or who adopts them, as they will always have a family bond.
