The Story Of Master Penman Jake Weidmann
Holly Reyes 1/30/2016
Jake Weidmann is one of 12 total master penmen in the world, but not only that, he is also the youngest. His brilliant mind creates ideas which only his precise hands could illustrate. Though it takes a hefty amount of time and practice, the hard work pays off when he creates the most stunning calligraphy and deigns.
Ever since he was a child he took time to write the best he could. When other children at school would type out their work on computers, Jake would be seen with a pen and pad of paper to write out his work. In humility, he explains that it's not natural talent, but the result of time which allows him to do what he does.
His wife didn't quite understand the length he went to in order to produce the kind of penmanship he does until they were married. He would be up late at night working hard, and not stopping until the results were perfect. Jake's mom laughs thinking that she wouldn't be surprised if he got that sense of perfectionism from herself. Jake's passion for the almost forgotten art makes a deep impression on those who are lucky enough to see his work.
