A box of wax paper sits in the kitchen drawer of most homes. However, other than covering a baking sheet with the white, waxy liner...what do we use it for? The following tips will surprise you!
The lovely, faint scent of a burning candle can be just delightful...but those little dings in the sides of your expensive air fresheners can be just plain annoying! Wrap the candles you aren't currently using in wax paper to keep them fresh and mark-free.
Funnel, funnel...who's got a funnel?
A funnel is something that most people realize they need to buy...during the moment they need it! Well, if you don't have one laying around, wax paper will save you in a pinch.
Rubbing your garden tools with a piece of crumpled up wax paper will help loosen the dirt and prevent rust. Who would have thought?
Avoid a jam
Do you have a door that tends to stick? A common problem...with an easy solution! Simply slide a sheet of wax paper along the edge of your troublesome door to give it a slippery coating, and keep it from getting jammed.
Ward off with wax
Did you know that rubbing the faucets in your home with wax paper will apply a thin protective coating to your fixtures, and temporarily prevent water marks? Now you do!
Dirt be gone
Were you aware that wax paper is an excellent cleaning tool? Simply attach a piece to the bottom of your wet/dry mop, and watch how well the waxy paper attracts dirt and dust bunnies!
Restrict the drip
Wax paper is a wonderfully inexpensive, easy way to catch unwanted glue drips, and make for an easy clean-up after a painting project. No mess, no stress!
Dread the dust?
If you are someone who dislikes having to dust the hard-to-reach tops of your furniture pieces...then this will be music to your ears! Simply line the top of your bookshelf or bureau with a sheet of wax paper, and every so often, toss it. Easy, breezy dusting!
A stuck zipper...such a small problem, but can be rather frustrating! The next time you are struggling with zipping up your little one's winter coat, your gym bag, or your child's backpack...think wax paper! Run a piece over the teeth of your zipper to help the tab glide more gently.
