There's another way to make use of balloons and it doesn't consist of blowing them up to use as decorations. After they've been used for a party save a few balloons to try some of these unique ideas. They make great decor pieces or gifts!
Paint ordinary elmer's glue over an inflated balloon, add some buttons and then cover with a second layer of elmer's glue to create a beautiful button bowl that looks difficult to make but is actually extremely simple.
This adorable yarn bowl can be made by dipping 8-10 inch strips of yarn into a bowl of glue to soak and then pulling each strand one by one to place onto the balloon. Repeat until all of your yarn pieces are on the balloon and then allow to dry. It's perfect for storing small trinkets such as keys or beads.
Using 10 filters is all it takes to make a bowl so save your coffee filters, rinse them out, let them dry, place them onto a balloon and add mod podge to it. Once it has dried overnight you have yourself an eco-friendly bowl. Details can be found here.
Melt chocolate, spoon some of it in a circular shape on parchment paper, dip a balloon into your bowl of chocolate and place the balloon on top of the chocolate patches you've already placed on the parchment paper.
