Husband Builds Pink-Roofed Bridge For His Wife

When Larry Payne's wife Pat passed away after an intense battle with breast cancer, he was completely lost. As a way to cope with his overwhelming grief, Larry decided to build and dedicate a very special structure to his late wife.
Larry and his wife were married for over 50 years and they shared everything together. They raised children, built a home and were each other's best friends. The couple was unbelievably close, so Pat's sudden death hit Larry especially hard. In the wake of his wife's death, the grieving husband built a large bridge in the cemetery where Pat was buried. He painted the roof of the 40-foot bridge pink to represent the breast cancer that took her life too soon.
“You know she’s smiling. I know she’s smiling. And she had one of the prettiest smiles… that’s what I said. I love my wife and there’s nobody that loves anybody anymore than I do her,” Larry shared proudly. Pat is definitely looking down from Heaven, happy because of the great husband she was able to share her life with.
