She Wrote One Of The Most Well Known Songs Of All Time – This Rendition Shocked Her To Tears

Written 48 years ago by Carole King, this song became a huge hit and the signature song for superstar Aretha Franklin. This powerful performance meant the world to Carole and gave everyone in the audience chills.
The Kennedy Center Honors is an annual event paying tribute to those in the performing arts who have made an impact on American culture. Some of the Honorees for 2015 were filmmaker George Lucas, rock band the Eagles, and singer-songwriter Carole King. Although the entire evening was memorable, there was one performer that truly stole the show - none other than music legend Aretha Franklin.
At 73-years-old, the Queen of Soul proved that she still has what it takes to wow a crowd. Aretha looked absolutely breathtaking during her performance, dressed in a long fur coat and beaded gown. She filled the Kennedy Center Opera House with goosebumps when she sang, "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman." In the video, we are able to get a feel for how moved the audience was when it shows President Obama, the First Lady, and Carole King (who definitely takes the cake for her highly-emotional reaction!). Although Kennedy Center Honors is always a star-studded event, this 2015, Aretha Franklin definitely shone bright!
