The group "Celtic Woman" is ready to wow the crowd with their live performance in Dublin at The Helix with a glorious choir at their backs. Standing center-stage in their floor-length gowns, Celtic Woman were glowing by all the starry lights and the bright Christmas tree that surrounded them.
Each of the three women sang their solos, and then continued the song together in their enchanting voices. Just when it seemed as if it could not possibly be a more beautiful, the choir joins in.
What a beautiful performance!
Singing "Hark The Herald Angels Sing", the stringed instruments accompanied them, then the brass, and it all came together in the most heavenly sound. But more surprises kept on coming as the conductor lifted his hands to direct the choir. This was a performance that the audience was going to want to remember!
One of the group's members Mairead Carlin told Lancaster Online that being part of Celtic Woman is a dream come true.
"The thing I love about being in this group is that we show everyone that we’re all different and we don’t need to conform in order to get in. That’s an important message we want to send out to young women and to older women, too. It’s important to know that you’re unique and that’s a good thing...
I find it very lonely being a solo artist..."
"I didn’t really particularly like [being a solo artist] very much. I was spending a lot of time on my own... It was a lot of loneliness to feel for someone so young... [Joining the group] was like a light at the end of the tunnel. We just wanted to make people feel like they were back home in Ireland."
They've obviously been able to accomplish that goal! Every second spent listening to their music is a moment envisioning rolling Irish hills and cheery folks – just like we feel during this incredible performance.
The same second the orchestra begins, a lovely violinist walked out to join Celtic Woman, and the choir burst into the chorus with the perfection of the violin.
All the guests sat stunned in their seats as the music filled their ears. The song grew and grew in its majestic sound, building up for the final words that would be heard, "Glory to the Newborn King." The beloved hymn proclaims the Christmas story in a way that reveals its amazing power.
Watch their impressive performance in the video below. We have goosebumps!
