Rich Ferguson leads a social experiment to see if kids will take candy from a stranger. Watching from the sidelines, parents wait to find out if their children will make the right decision.
There's a lesson we teach our kids from a very young age - "Don't take candy from strangers!" While many of us would believe that our kids have this ingrained in their heads, what would happen if they were actually put in a stranger/candy scenario...do you think they'd say no? Well, one man and his production crew developed a way to help parents test their children's reactions. Their findings were very surprising.
The experiment takes place in a park where children are playing. With the parents permission, Rich Ferguson approaches their kids. After he gets them comfortable, he offers them candy. And will the kids accept it? Over and over again every kid tries to take the candy. When they do, he asks them if they know not to take candy from strangers. Yes, they all do... However, not one of them actually follows the lesson. Wow, this video should be very eye-opening to all parents!
