Hearing Shapes Plays Christmas Songs On PVC Pipe Instrument

No one ever said you need an orchestra to create beautiful Christmas music. Watch as the group Hearing Shapes plays an amazing Christmas song montage on a PVC pipe instrument.
There are many different versions of all of the classic Christmas songs, but you've probably never heard ones like those of Hearing Shapes! Instead of fancy instruments, the group uses only the basics - such as the xylophone, maracas, tambourine, Christmas bells, and of course a PVC pipe music maker. That's right...they play a humongous "xylophone-like" instrument built from pieces you can purchase at a hardware store. And how does this PVC pipe instrument sound? Absolutely INCREDIBLE!
Hearing Shapes is an experimental music group consisting of the three band members, Corey Presley, Stephen Johnson, and Matt Hernandez. In the video, we see them in a gazebo with all of their equipment. One member plays all of the little instruments (amazingly by the way), while the other two beat on the PVC pipe creation with what looks like mini-spatulas. It has a unique tone that is both whimsical and professional sounding. They entertain us with Christmas classics such as, "Silent Night," "The Grinch," and of course "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town." Wow, very impressive guys!
