How To Make Your Own DIY Winter Votives
FaithTap Staff 12/11/2015
When the times comes for the Christmas decor to go back into their boxes, these stay out for the entire winter. They brighten up any room of the house. They are inexpensive, yet gorgeous winter votives that bring a little sparkle to the holidays – before, during, and after. All you need is either a jar or vase, mod podge, a small paint brush, fake snow, and Epsom salt – that’s it!
It takes only a few minutes to make, so, grab a jar that’s lying around, or you could run to the dollar store to purchase a small vase like she used, and cover it in mod podge. Once it is sticky, roll it around in the fake snow or Epsom salt until it is fully covered, and press more fake snow into the jar if there are any sticky spots left.
You will want to let it dry for a couple of hours to ensure it is completely dry before using it. To add a little glam, try adding a little glitter to it when it is still wet. Once dry, place a small candle inside to bring a beautiful, snowy touch your home.
