He Set Up A Tent – But To Live In Year Round. The Inside Caught Me Completely Off Guard

If you prefer to "camp" in luxury, this 4-season tent is right up your alley. Not only is it equipped with a kitchen, stove, and actual beds - it's durable enough to keep occupants comfortable for longer than just a mini-vacation. In fact, it's hard to even call it a tent, it's really more like a tiny house! Danielle from Exploring Alternatives is here to give us a tour of this prospector-style tent.
In order to reach the tent in Glatineau Park, the crew had to hike 4 kilometers through the snow to reach it. Now this is what we call off-grid living! The 15 x 18 tent really does look like a little canvas house. Once inside, Danielle shows us how the home works. It's divided into 4 different sections - with a living room, sleeping area (with 4 beds), kitchen, and dining area. Since there is no running water, the bathroom is an outhouse located a short walk away.
The tent's electricity is powered by one solar panel. In fact, the entire place only has one LED light inside! In order to cook, the occupants must use a grill that is outside (and bring in pre-cooked food as well). One of the greatest parts is that the tent is insulated to keep everyone warm during the winter. Wow, it may be tiny living...but this tent sure seems to have it all!
