For 60 Years The Inside Of This House Hasn't Changed. Just Wait Until You See Inside

From the street, this quaint little Toronto home appears very similar to those neighboring it. However, on the inside, it is unlike any other house on the block...or anywhere for that matter!
If walls could talk
When a 96-year-old woman came to listing agents Gladys and Carla Spizzirri to put her two-story home on the market, the agents had no idea of what was in store for them. Stepping through the front doorway was like going back in time.
This 1940's home rests in Bloor West Village, West Toronto, and is listed at $699,000. The 1950/1960's decor, immaculate condition, and unique antique look make this residence a truly priceless gem!
An artful eye
The homeowner lived in this perfectly preserved palace for 72 years and personally decorated every inch of its space. Although a knitter and seamstress by trade, she admitted to always having a passion for interior design.
Kiss the cook
In this pale pink, stunning kitchen...many meals, and memories, were made. The elegant light fixtures and bold curtains really make this space special.
Breakfast is served
Elana Safronsky with HGTV shared:
"The home is in pristine condition, having been lovingly maintained for 72 years by the homeowner and her family."
This quaint breakfast nook is the perfect place to enjoy a hot cup of coffee while reading the morning paper!
Coming in for a landing
The home's owner mentioned to HGTV:
"I like soft colors, and I like things to match and flow well together. I prefer tone-on-tone to bright colors."
Each space has its very own creative, individual look.
The marvelous master
The soft cream and purple palette in the master bedroom is complemented with pops of bright lavender. The clustered pieces of art on the walls, the plush seat at the foot of the bed, the simple curtains, and the antique pieces of furniture make this room particularly cozy and special.
Pretty in pink
The homeowner's husband told her:
"You can decorate however you want, just please no pink in the master bedroom."
So, she honored his wishes...and designed a perfectly pink guest bedroom instead!
A pop of purple
Each space makes a very different statement with the varying colors, patterns, and textures. However, there is no room absent of detail, simplicity, and elegance.
May I powder my nose?
The antique fixtures, original touches, and pink undertone give the family bathroom a simply stunning look!
The lovely homeowner went on to tell HGTV:
"I've always tried to be individual, and follow my own style."
Without a doubt, her personal style and eye for design shine through in each and every room!
The man cave
This underground room is the perfect place to catch up with old friends and cozy up to the fire!
Let the good times roll
The pops of bright blue and green give this space more of a masculine feel, different from the rest of the home. This would be the perfect area for playing family games, enjoying some tunes, and just letting loose!
More than a laundry room
This room is fully equipped with a refrigerator, washer and dryer, a sink, a microwave, and plenty of storage and counter space. The wood paneling and mint green stool really give this area an old fashioned look and feel!
The secret garden
Behind this home lies a quaint, green yard space...perfect for enjoying a cold glass of lemonade on a warm summer's day!
Home is where the heart is
Someone once said, "Home is where love resides, memories are created, friends always belong, and laughter never ends." Let us focus less on the type of house we have, and more on the people who make our house a home.
