Owner Hears Loud Noises At Night And Walks Outside To Find That His Dog Is Not Alone...

In El Dorado County, a dog was attacked, and her owner risked his life to save her. Kirk Fetter, a man living in Placerville, California, was forced out of bed around 11:30 on a Wednesday night. He heard a commotion out on his deck, where he knew his dog Tiki was sleeping.
The 8-year-old dog seems to have been snatched from the deck by the mountain lion. Kirk came outside, wearing little more than his birthday suit, and saw that Tiki had been dragged down to the yard. The mountain lion had his dog’s head in her mouth. Though barely clothed, Kirk didn’t hesitate to charge at the big cat to save his dog.
Kirk’s wife threw some items from the deck, like buckets, at the mountain lion. Yet the mountain lion didn’t let go until he was practically on top of it. Poor Tiki suffered some wounds but Kirk patched her up as best he could until he could take her to the vet in the morning. Kirk wants his story to remind others to be wary and remember that this is one of the challenges of living in a more secluded area. Everyone should keep their pets in at night and watch their children at dusk, especially during the time of the year when the deer come down off the mountains and the lions follow them. Luckily, neither Kirk nor Tiki were seriously hurt during this encounter.
