Trouble Afoot for Mom
One day at the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, a lioness who was part of the Sunday Pan lion pride was guarding her young cubs. But suddenly, alarm calls sounded from a short distance away.

An injured bat-eared fox that couldn’t stand or walk had drawn the attention of the pride members, including a fierce lion and a caring lioness.

She decided to protect this helpless, injured fox from the lion every time he approached the animal. She knew she was defying the head of her pride, but her motherly instincts couldn't help it. She had to safeguard the injured baby.

The lioness even laid down between the baby bat-eared fox and the lion to show she was protecting it, essentially creating a barrier between the fox and the hungry lion.

Finally, the lion walked away, leaving them all in peace. Eventually, the poor fox was able to stand on its own and wandered off to safety, thanks to the protectiveness of the lioness.
