Use a photo editing program to modify the size and image you want to use. Make sure you flip the image and words to print out in reverse, otherwise the image and words will be backwards when transferred to the wood.
Place the wax paper in your Inkjet printer. It doesn't matter which side you print on, since both sides are waxed, but feed it slowly through the printer to prevent creases or wrinkles. You can also tape one side of the wax paper to a piece of printer paper and feed this end first to help the wax paper go through. Let the ink dry before you place the wax paper on the wood.
Center the wax paper with the print side down on top of the wood and hold it in place. Use a soft pad to rub the wax paper smoothly on to the wood. Keep rubbing until the image comes completely off of the wax paper.
If you want to transfer family prints to wood, you can use the wax paper method, or try this popular method that uses gloss gel and Mod Podge.
