She Always Saves Her Bottles. The New Life She Gives Them Is Absolutely Genius!

With the holidays just around the corner, you may have some empty bottles after this year's party. Instead of retiring them to the trash bin, what if you could reuse them next year?

Grab Your Supplies
Besides the empty bottles, you'll also need a torch wick, 1/2-inch x 3/8-inch copper coupling with a "stop," a 1/2-inch copper tube cap, Teflon tape, a couple bags of marbles and tiki fuel. That's right we are making TIKI TORCHES!
Lose Your Marbles
Freeing your marbles from their bag, add them to the bottom of the wine bottle. Ideally the bottle would be filled up about a third of the way.
Taking your copper coupling and Teflon tape, wrap the tape snuggly around the wide end of the coupling. You'll want this to fit securely at the opening of your bottle, so use your best judgment about how much tape you'll need.
Take The Test
Place the wrapped coupling at the mouth of the bottle. You don't want it to fall through or be too thick to insert. Add or take off tape until it's the perfect fit, like so.
Set The Fuse
Take the coupling out of the bottle for this next step. Using a replacement torch wick, stick it into the coupling. You'll want to leave about 1/2 inch of the wick sticking out so it's easy to light. Set aside for the next step.
Add Fuel To The Fire
With a funnel, pour tiki fuel close to the top of the bottle, being mindful not to overflow. You'll want about one inch of space from the top of the bottle.
All Together Now
Finally, add your wick-and-coupling combination to the bottle, making sure to attach it securely and without any air leaks.
