A Baby Girl Gives This Letter To Passengers On The Plane. What She Says Is Brilliant
FaithTap Staff 11/1/2015
Long gone are the days of glamorous airplane travel. In today's day and age, you're lucky if your seat is even open when you get to the gate!
The Hassle of Flying
Between smaller seats, delayed flights and unruly passengers flying has become a hassle. Even if that all goes right and you get to board on time, get to your assigned seat and settle in, there's one thing that can still go wrong. You spot a B.O.B! You can hear the screams already, there's a baby on board and the entire plane seems to groan.
Stress For Everyone
Parents of newborns are often times well aware of the negative implications of brining their baby aboard an aircraft. Being a new parent is stressful enough but add in a plane full of angry passengers and one crabby baby... it's a recipe for disaster.
A Thoughtful Gift
Small children often experience ear pain when flying, as well as the flight itself being a new and scary event which causes them to cry and scream One family decided to take matters into their own hands! Upon boarding their flight, little baby Madeline surprised her seatmates with a plastic baggy with a special note and some small treats.
Goodies For Passengers
The bag contained some things to provide some comfort on the long flight. It included ear plugs and some sweet candies, as well as a note.
Everyone Took Notice
The note read:
"My name is Madeline. I will be 1 on December 17th and this my first flight. I'll try to be on my best behavior, but I'd like to apologize in advance if I lose my cool, get scared or my ears hurt. My mom and dad packed you this goodies bag with a few treats. There are also earplugs in case my first public serenade isn't as enjoyable to you as it is my mom and dad. Have a great flight :)."
Now that it thinking ahead!
We'll never know if Madeline kept her cool on that flight or if she upset everyone on the plane! We do know that these parents were taking positive steps to improve their fellow passengers comfort without being asked to do so. The story was reported on the today show and the video clip is provided below:
A Great Example!
Obviously these parents knew that possible negative outcomes of a baby on flight and tried to take the high road to make the best of the situation. Compassion can go a long way if more people would be considerate of one another, just like this family!
