The healing process
Many of the dogs that Sasa and the sanctuary staff take in have broken bones, parasites and a variety of other devastating illnesses.

But they work together to nurse these animals back to health and acclimate them to their new home.

The best part of this Heaven on Earth is that there is always another dog who is willing to play. Sasa plays along by kicking around the soccer ball, taking jogs around the property and having water playtime with the hose.

Even though this job comes with a ton of responsibility, Sasa says it's the happiest place in the world.
Move over, Disneyland. The Serbian Sanctuary has won over our hearts and those of the 450 pups who call it home.

Off the street and into a real home
These playful pups were starved and left for dead. But with Sasa's and his staff's care, they can truly thrive.

This adorable little pup was living day-to-day, finding food in the garbage and fighting to stay alive until fate brought Sasa into his life.

Sasa has a reputation as someone willing to go to great lengths to rescue an animal in trouble. In the video below he rescues a dog stranded on a small island in the middle of a freezing river.
VIDEO He loves his job
I mean, who wouldn't love that job?
Playing with hundreds of dogs who are always excited to see you sounds like the best time ever!

Each dog costs $15 a month to feed and care for. That comes out to a whopping $6,750 a month altogether, $81,000 every year!

Facebook/Sasa Pesic Together we can make a difference
There are an estimated 20,000,000 homeless dogs in the world and we can all do something to make a difference. Drive that pup on the side of the road to the local shelter, adopt a pet instead of buying one and make donations where and when you can.
Every little bit makes a big difference. Our fluffy friends depend on us!
