Leaves of Gratitude
String fall leaves across the mantel for a subtle touch of fall. A tight double knot will hold them in place. Using a metallic or paint pen, add a message of gratitude.
Bottle Up the Season!
Fill empty glass bottles with various beans and grains that fit in with the season. Top with a candlestick for a clean and classy arrangement.
While you might be more familiar with wood inside your fireplace, consider displaying some birch logs above too. Add a sprinkle of fall leaves and your mantel will instantly radiate a warm and cozy vibe.
Fill a glass with corn kernels, then wedge a tea light in the center. Voila! Instant fall decor!
Jar It Up!
Pinecones and small oranges are the perfect addition for empty Mason jars. Move from Thanksgiving to Christmas in a flash by swapping out pumpkins for Christmas ornaments or other holiday decor.
A vase can be filled with more than just flowers, add fall leaves to any vase to instantly brighten any room.
Bell of the ball!
Ordinary items get a luxurious upgrade when displayed in a glass centerpiece. Pile some pumpkins (or pinecones!) in a bell jar, cover with a plate, and flip over.
Adorn a glass votive with twigs using a hot glue gun.
Add fall charm to a mantel with bundles of wheat in brown glass jars. You can leave them plain or also embellish them with vinyl lettering.
Simple Glass Cylinder
Here is another neutral centerpiece using wheat. Yet this time the bundle of wheat is loosely displayed in a vase. Continuing with the natural theme for this centerpiece, add nuts and pine to the mix too.
Carefully cut out the contents of a butternut squash, scooping as much out as you can with a spoon. Add a fall floral arrangement for a completely natural bouquet!
Layered Dried Beans and Corn
Layer dried beans and corn for an effortless and colorful centerpiece.
Burlap Fall Garland
This is a creative twist on a traditional garland. Embellish a strip of burlap with fall leaves, you can even use a stapler for this! Wrap your leaf-adorned burlap around columns, or drape it from the entryway for a fast, inexpensive seasonal touch.
This creative candle holder is surprisingly easy to make! Use a permanent marker to outline where the candle will be placed on top of your apple. Remove enough of the inside of your apple to fit the candle. Give the illusion of a burning candle by dribbling wax around the apple.
Or Go for Candled Pumpkins!
Using a similar technique, turn mini pumpkins into candlestick holders. Secure them in place by melting a bit of wax into the pumpkin before adding the candlesticks.
Pine Cone Garland
Make pine cone garlands with twine and wire. Wrap the wire around the pine cones, then secure to the twine by wrapping the wire around tightly. Display your natural garland in a large window or doorway all season long!
Now that fall is in full swing, all of these beautiful and unique ideas are ready to add a seasonal warmth to your home.
