Dad Blindfolds His Daughter. Where He Leads Her Is A Memory She Will Never Forget
Single father Jason Garmon swooned the leading lady in his life with one seemingly simple yet completely heartwarming gesture of love and respect...
Earlier this week, Virginia dad Jason Garmon surprised his daughter Skylar with an incredible invitation to the upcoming daddy-daughter dance.
With the help of his son Grayson, they were able to pull off quite the invitation without Skylar having a clue what was about to happen.
This gorgeous setup included a pitcher of iced tea, flowers, and a handmade sign that said "Will you go to the daddy-daughter dance with me?"
The Facebook post included a sweet message to all men and women out there:
"Just because I'm her Dad doesn't mean I'm going to assume she'll go with me. You ask out a lady like it's the first time every time. Always keep her guessing, always try to win her. I don't care if it's your daughter, your girlfriend or your wife, the day you stop trying is the day you'll lose her. I had always planned on doing something like this for a woman but I realized the most important female that deserves my attention is already right here beside me."
His post has since been shared over 405,000 times, with 130 heartfelt and supportive comments, including one from mom:
"Jason, you have made a mom so proud to have a son that watches over his children in such a way that the children will grow up knowing what to expect and nothing less. Not only did you show Skylar what to expect you showed Grayson how to treat a lady! Kudos to you son, I hope this wakes up a lot of dads and gives them inspiration to do the same. Life only comes around once and you have to make the best of it!"
The family celebrated with an ice-cold glass of tea and a few quick pictures. What a wonderful memory to share with your kiddos, and an incredible way to show them how a lady should be treated with kindness and respect.
And in case you were wondering, Jason adds, "she said YES! "
